An Egyptian Director, graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema in Cairo 2020. She started her career after graduation with a short film "1+1" - 2021. She belongs to an artistic family, her uncle is The Comedian Alaa Wali El Din. Alaa was selected among 10 female directors from 10 countries for artistic residency to develop the script at International Women's Film Festival in Tunisia, October 2019. While her studying at the higher institute of cinema, she directed “Who Chooses!” Short film, which was selected at Sharm El-Sheikh Film Festival (March 2019) and Très Court International Film Festival (June 2019). Alaa received Best Short Film award at Dubai Media Incorporated Mobile Short Film, 2015.
