Society / Fuad Srouji

Fuad Srouji was born in Amman Jordan in 1953. He commenced his university studies at the American University of Beirut, but due to the civil war in Lebanon, he completed and obtained his bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences from the Jordan University in 1977. For several years, he worked in the Jordan Valley in the farming business until he found his niche in permaculture and forestry. From thereon he headed a local NGO named “The Tree” and sparked afforestation projects in several rural areas in Jordan. Today he lives in Amman/ Jordan pursuing his field experimentation in forestry and agriculture.
